Amongst my friends I seem to be one of the few who always has enjoyed the Summoning. They are not always perfect, but shit just does happen. It happens to everyone on time or an other. It stinks (yes even yours) and usually is just a bit more sticky than one would like in these kinds of situations.

Ever since Emergenza I’ve been on this incredible high. Everywhere I come People are telling me how great it was. And I n do no less than admitting it was the greatest audience I’ve ever played on.
Everyone in the band seems to be really motivated, and that has not been that way for some time.

At the same time my daughter is growing inside J. D-day is coming closer every day and I almost cant wait until I get to reveal my daughters name. It is strange, but even though I have never seen her, I already love her more than life.
We are looking for daycare because we can’t really afford to have one of us stop working. The first one we went to had a waiting list until end 2007. This would mean that we should have enrolled even before J was pregnant.
We have found one other daycare center that we liked and the should have a opening in March (exactly on schedule) . But there flexibility is limited, and we need that because of my roster at work. They seem willing to discus possibilities

Of course when so many things are going right, something must be going wrong. In Vortex Adventures there seem to be people who have no bond with the word respect whatsoever. Add to this ‘bestuurs’ conflict number ‘one to many’. Somehow it is not possible for one ‘bestuur’ to stick together and work an a common goal. There always has to be one who FUCKS SHIT UP.
There is no job in VA that seems to receive any gratitude. These spoiled brats take way to much for granted. I hate that.

Sometimes I would like to bitch slap some of these eletair assholes to an inch of their arrogant lives. What gives these assholes the right to feel like they are better than the rest of us. Everything they do proves that they are a lower lifeform.
The respect noone, they hate the setting of VA, but they keep returning threatening to destroy it.
If you don’t like it,

FUCK OFF AND LEAVE THOSE OF US WHO DO LIKE IT THE FUCK ALONE, BASTERDS.

You guys are not cool, your are pathetic.

I know that many of you who read my LJ don’t like Vortex Adventures but I still enjoy it very much.
Last Moots I was unable to do my tasks with the FLM (facility locations manager) Team because of my sisters wedding on one side and the fact that I’m saving my vacation days until our daughter is born on the other side. I still feel a bit guilty about that.

I’m not going to do the detailed report, I never like reading those and I don’t realy like writing those.

In short: It was fun. The big surprise was that there was no end battle. The world died like worlds do. Whit volcanic disruptions, earth quakes, lighting and such. We had to run for our lives to reach the portal that had become unstable and was closing faster and faster after the navi’s opened it. At the portals we saw the Shadows of world as they where destroying the last bit of Lunaris. With only one man able to fend them of, we where chanceless. There where five shadows, enough to kill us all.
I would have taken stand beside LoCarath fighting shadows to give other the time to escape. In stead I got mortally wounded by lava and was brought to the portal.

As far as I know al my Guild members made it trough as well.

And now the cool part (at least I think it is cool, but I’m not really sure), CS was glad I survived. It seems they have plot planned with Inukai. It will probably get the char killed eventually, but I’ll have lots of personal fun until that.

Because of the Idea of Brian (a friend of mine) to play a Cyber life for once I’m now hunting for Cy-fi gear.
I got several idea’s. One is for a sort of Armour. I found motor cross body protection which looks like futuristic Armour and is already available from €60,-.

Besides the Armour I’ll also need new weapons. Brian told me about NERF guns (sometimes you have to try the link a few times beore it works). So I started looking for them. As it turns out it is almost impossible to find NERF guns in The Netherlands. And none of the USA shops send NERF Guns over sea’s. This really to bad because there are some really cool Guns available in the States.

I did get lucky because [info]sna still has 2 guns for sale. Which I ordered both. I only have to go and pick them up. I hope that I’ll have time to do that soon.
Besides these two I’m trying to get the other cool guns as well. I hope I’ll succeed.
Look up the NERF N-STRIKE Longshot and the NERF Dart Tag MAG STRIKE.

Last weekend was the Second Drachenfest of Clan Yosihda.

It was a great weekend of role-play and action.  So many great moments to mention, I’ll might have a go at it as well.
At first the journey into Germany: It took quite some time because of my overloaded van and Pluis and the way to heavy trailer. It got very exiting when Pluis his car turned out not to be strong enough to get it up a really steep hill and we had to turn it around on a one-way street.

On the Drachenfest grounds we ran into more trouble as Pluis couldn’t get the trailer up the hill. We put my car in front of his and with the towing cable and the power of both our cars we managed to get to the top of the mountain. There we ran into mad mike and his van. He helped us to get the trailer to the green camp so we could finally unpack and start building the house Yoshida.

He camp took shape very fast and so did our ‘house’. When it was done it looks great and Drachenfest could begin.

The first two days was all role-play and way to little fighting for my taste (but than I must admit that if I cant get into a fight each hour, things are going to slow for me :p)

One day we caught someone trying to steel from the green camp, after they finished interrogating him we got our chance, so we took him to the woods and let [info]nokey do his pressure point ting. We took about 20 minutes to torture him and had to finisch up there because of the storm (we would have taken way longer if we had a chance). After we finished our torture we set him on his broken leg and let one of the elfs of camp green spill his halfelven blood.
The player we just killed played his char for eight years and thanked us for his complete cool dead. He was not going to return as this char (on DF you can) because he would not be able to top this dead and the SL reffing the affair thought it was so cool that we all received ranking for it. (cool compliment)

This night we had some new spiritual experiences. My and Janestarz seemed to be wide open together after the storm. Finally I had enough of one of the entities and I did something to push them away. This had such a strong effect that Janestarz felt it and didn’t like it.
She described it as the effect of an atomic bomb, but than on a small scale.
It is something I do a lot when I’m at home and something is keeping me awake.
After that I succeeded a lot better in keeping things at ease and I slept like a rose that night.
The next day went slow for some time and I caught up with some sleep. On the last day we prepared for the final battle. As we moved out of the camp we ran into the Oni (Japenese Demons). A player group we had lots of role-play with. They asked us if they could join us into battle. And so clan Yoshida moved out with nine Oni behind us.

On the battlefield I witnessed all the camps preparing for battle taking ground and setting up manpower and weapons. At first it didn’t look like much but when all the lines closed it started to look verry cool. The the start sign was given and the lines started to move. This was ubber geil. First the flanks moved in, then the middle started moving. As the reserves formed up their lines the first reinforcements moved to the flanks. At first Clan Yoshida waited (maybe to long) At the end of the battle we attacked in the hope to force a break.
As the fighters moved left to join the lines there, we (the archers, [info]nokey, [info]janestarz, Inge and myself) moved to the middle where I had a complete killing spree on the enemy from a distance.
Finally the brake was forced by relentless attacks of the black camp on the left flank. After that the Battle was as good as over .

In the last minutes of the battle, the Chaos camp turned on the allies and attacked the gold camp. We, the samurai, attacked the chaos camp. The fight that followed was trilling. We where outnumbered five to one.
As [info]nokey, [info]sna, Pluis, Sensei and Mark where retreating and fighting, I was shouting their attackers in the hope to give them a chance. Of course we failed, but we took a big chuck of Chaos down with us. To see [info]sna and Mark go completely insane was great. These two are magnificent fighting the odds. Pure aggression.
Wile [info]nokey and Sensei take their bit down with pure control.
Finally Chaos must have found me to dangerous, because they send two man to take me out from behind (these two guys where at first watching Nokey in duel with one of their own, which Nokey won if my info is correct)

In short: One Great Weekend.
I really want to do Drachenfest again with clan Yoshida. I hope the clan will feel the same way

25 December 2005 @ 05:21 pm

Next weeks, I do not now exactly for how long, I’ll be on the dark side of the moon.

We wont have Internet for some weeks (slow burocratic ^#@^$#), those of you that have my phone number(s) are welcome to give me a call if they miss me, or if I miss something important.

We are still unpacking boxes (how much junk do I own?????) and we bought new furniture. One closet for the bedroom, it will arrive in 8 weeks, 6 chairs for the living room, which will arrive in 6 weeks, one great dinner table which will arrive in 12 weeks (long wait) and our new TV furniture, which we can pick op on 26 December.

At the same time there is new Shit on the Yoshida horizon. The problem with the agitator seemed to be solved. But only after one of the two friends I was hoping would stay with the clan left. But now she back, ‘here is the agitator’.

Half measures don’t work with her, and she is driving a huge wedge into the clan. What do we do? We just let her do what ever she wants. She is toying us, using us.

Many people have said that they will stop if she stays in the clan. Right now I wish it would be one of two things. Or we stop with the clan, and let her keep it (all by herself) or we kick her out once and for all, keeping the clan, and starting with having fun again. One way or another, this will al be over.

Come on people grow a spine, take a stand and stand by it.

Right now I’m doing the last shift on the job from hell. At 20.00 I’m finished with this. I am really looking forward at my new job at the RIBW-MB. I’ve met my new colleges and got a ‘kerst-pakket’ from my new boss, which was way more impressive as the ‘kerst-pakket’ I got from the job from hell. Now my boss is acting like he is going to miss me, but after all the shit I went trough here I can say I share the feeling.

I’ve got just a few hours to go before get out of contact range, I’ll only be online for short bits of time if I bounce a signal of some satellites (find a pc with internet that I can use)

DISCLAIMER

I probably shouldn't write this because each time I notice that more and more people are reading my journal. I'm quite sure that I've no Idea of who does, en who doesn't read my journal.

So I'll stop being an asshole long enough to write the following lines. I do refer to my user info in this.

It is my live journal I do write whatever I want. It is my way of getting things of my chest. So if anything of this insults anyone, it was probable not intended to do so. You can be insulted by it, and never talk to again, or you can take a really hard look at yourself and find that there might be a core of truth in what I write. You can even decide that I was wrong; maybe you want to change my mind, if so you better have arguments. Here the being nice stops. Maybe you should stop reading as well. The following is my opinion, nothing more nothing less.

Me Ranting, If you klick this don't come to me, if you don't like what you read. Its about the Yoshida clan )

I'm finally getting over the first shock off losing yet another job, and I'm starting to see the upside of losing this job.

I'll never have to set another foot in this dirt pile. Some of the clients here think showering once a week is to often. Everyday, when I get home, I need to get clean clothes, and a long shower before the Itching stops. My skin is hell, since I'm working here, and that will get better, I'm sure about that.
The other upside is that I'll be free with the New Year.

Yesterday I've send 12 more letters for jobs. The total is now 30 letters send. I'm really hopeful, there where some great sounding jobs in this batch. Al very challenging. In the first batch of letters there where quite a lot of jobs I didn't really like. In these last 12 letters there where only jobs I really would like to do. So I'm very anxious about the results.

On a different Note: I'm starting a new Tag here: VA
On the upcoming ALV there will be elections for board members. I'm running for FLM, I will be replacing Thijs who has done this for the last year. He leaves a complete system behind for me. Most work for 2006 has already been done. The caterer has already been contracted and the terrain has been booked for all the events in 2006. That just leaves some small things to deal with. And Organizing the build and cleanup for all the events.
2007 will be more work, bit I'll have the whole of 2006 to deal with that.
But first I've to get the position. For there is someone running against me. But he is of the Yurt of Bleda, They used to do the catering on VA events, and did a lousy job at it. We fear that if this guy gets the job he'll try to get the Yurt back in VA, and we really don't want that. 27 November is the date of the ALV, that things will be decided. So if you are a year member of VA come and vote, or make sure that you've let Engelbert know what your vote would be.

Pathfinder news:
We have a total of tree new players who would like to join the Pathfinders. I believe that all three would fit the group. I'll suggest them as soon as possible to the current members. If we find one more, we will have a guild of our own, and we'll make SL cry than.

Time to type something

Intrigue and Manipulation in LARP it can be fun, but this changing sides and chances tree times a day is tiring. I should keep to bashing orc; it's less dangerous to my char.

But after A lot of practise I'm getting better in this intrigue thing. I'm not going to deep into things on my LJ, you never know who might read this, and we don't want to facilitate metaplay do we?

After the concerning event I will go in to this properly, until that time you will have to do with this tease.

Something Else.
This evening Judith and I are going to take a look at a house in Tilburg, we are considering buying. Next week we'll be looking at another one, after that we hope we can make a decision.
At first we where looking around 's Hertogenbosch. Because it is closer to Zaltbommel. But we found that there are a lot of houses for sale in Tilburg, and we figured that it would be easier to find THE house there. In guess what we found some options for THE house.

More soon to come

And Another Monday,

The Bone Breakers Bar went by. I'm really proud of my pathfinders; People keep telling how cool we are.
And now there are five of us. (It used to be three)
And we had lots of fun running and crawling trough the forest, kicking Orc ass, and being missing for hours at a time.
We even have some useful signalling, so we can comunicate in reletive silance, it needs some upgrades, because we still find situations, where I do not know how to get the message across.
Maybe I'll put the background story of the pathfinders here when I'm finally content with it. For now it still needs more work.
You can't imagian how trilling it is to be crawling trough te forrest, and not knowing if the SL is sendning some monsters in there to try and make shure that you don't return.
But I can ad methods of working to the background of the pathfinders, I got a realy good idea about what works and what doesn't work.

[Edit] See my janestars post in my friens part for the suscribt of the weekend, yes I lazy [/edit]

From here it is a completely boring post, no need to read it if you don't want to.

My birthday went by almost unnoticed, of course I'm celebrating it next Friday for the family, so I'm not supposed to hear from them yet. I must say that I didn't really remember it myself, but when 30 is coming closer denial is not a strange thing.
For those who wonder, yes I feel a bit older, but that has nothing to do with my birthday, it has to do with me feeling every mussel I never knew I had, because of another weekend of LARP. And it was worth it.

Well I told you it would be boring, but did you listen? No, you had to go on and read it anyway. Well that is another minute you'll never get back
